Robert Johnson's music deeply influenced my love for blues and jazz. He’s considered the grandfather of blues. I tried to capture special details, like the pattern on the blanket he's sitting on, his pinstripes and the weathering on his guitar. While I was working on this drawing, I listened to Robert's music and let the richness of his character become a part of the piece.
I was very honored to have My Portrait of Robert Johnson juried into the Ocean Shores fine art show in Washington. I revived honorable mention from the Art professor and judge.
